Pro-Plan Process Optimisation System Pro-Plan can be applied to any process with production units and storages. One example is pulp mills. Many pulp mills do not reach their maximum sustainable rate due to limitations in white liquor supply, black liquor processing capacity, steam supply, bottlenecks, breakdowns, and full or empty storages. The Pro-Plan Pulp Mill & Recovery Optimisation System provides a means of maximizing pulp and paper mill output by smarter management of these constraints. Pro-Plan is a real-time decision-support system for shift-coordinators that will determine the optimal production rates in the pulp mill and recovery areas. Pro-Plan also determines optimal dilution factors, storage levels and evaporator boil-out strategies to maximize production, reduce costs, and set up the mill to best cope with any unplanned shutdowns that may arise.
