Savage Laboratories is the ethical pharmaceutical division of Altana Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Byk-Gulden, a medium-sized, multi-national pharmaceutical company based in Konstanz, Germany. The current business focus of Savage Laboratories is in the areas of dermatology and obstetrics/gynecology through face-to-face sales presentations by a 75-person, specialty sales force in all of the major metropolitan areas of the U.S. Beginning in 1999, this business focus will be broadened to include critical care, pulmonary, and emergency medicine physicians.
