Lark Hill is a small Vineyard and Winery established in 1978, high on the escarpment overlooking Lake George, in an environmental protection zone home to many species of birds and other wildlife. The fruit is hard grown and the vines very low cropping in a cold dry environment; vintage is in April and May, and the fruit has great concentration and intensity. While Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are particularly suited to the vineyard, Lark Hill has had enormous success right across the range of their wines. Dr David and Sue Carpenter are the owners and winemakers, and their son Christopher is to join the Lark Hill Team after University. After 22 years of growing fruit and making wine, Lark Hill is enjoying enormous success with national awards and exports all over the world. Wines are of limited availability.
